Thirty five years ago today we said goodbye to the Blue Box Boy as Doctor Who featured the death of a companion for the first time since 1966, ending Matthew Waterhouse’s tenure as Adric.

I thought it was good death for the character. Very fitting.

I’m just well know for not being a fan of either Matthew Waterhouse or Adric so I wasn’t sorry to see the character go.

The character was annoying, bratty, and poorly written. One of the worst written characters in WHO history.

So I will celebrate the anniversary of his death on screen. 🙂
