Eight Doctor Titan
Oh, man what a difference!
The 3 issues so far of The Eight Doctor by Titan Comics is wonderful!
The best ones yet.
It doesn’t hurt that it has some Classic WHO feel to it also. 🙂
But when you get the Doctor investigating a Magic Show after hours and he says things like (paraphrase) “I don’t like old theatres I’m always afraid I’ll be attacked by a Homoculous or a Giant Rat.”
Plus the companion they chose for his Doctor is wonderful. Josephine “Josie” Day .She perky. She’s engaging, and she not a manic depressive!! 🙂
She’s there for the adventure of it all. But she’s not wilting lilly either.
This incarnation of The Doctor is written brilliantly, with a love for adventure and a sense of fun and warmth that is contagious; you’ll smile as you read. The chemistry of the two characters is done so well that you easily get lost in the adventure, and forget that they have only just met. And that’s what a good comic should do.
It’s going to be a long month to wait for the next issue. Something I have rarely said about Titan to date.
