Sigh, not again…

Well, I haven’t been the Sack Moffat now crowd but this Female doctor thing is starting to make me campaign for his release from the job before he casts a woman as the 13th Doctor!

Steven Moffat has once again dropped some pretty big hints that a female Doctor might be in Doctor Who’s future.

The Who showrunner was speaking at the Sky Women in Television and Film Awards, and when asked why there can’t be a female Doctor, this is what Moffat said:

“Well no-one says you can’t. It’s actually only since I took over the show that we have said it’s actually possible within the logic of the show.”

Moffat revealed that he sprinkled various tidbits into Who scripts — right from the beginning of his run as showrunner — hinting that it would be possible for an actress to play the Doctor in the future.

“The very first lines I wrote were Matt Smith checking if he had become a girl and then I put some dialogue in to the Doctor’s wife about it in Night of the Doctor.

“And now of course we have had the female master, with the Doctor not reacting to that fact at all. He doesn’t seem to register the fact that his old friend is now a woman. So obviously, he doesn’t think it’s a remarkable thing to happen. We must assume that gender is quite fluid on Gallifrey.”

The villainous Master changed gender for the first time in the history of the long-running and beloved BBC sci-fi series and regenerated into the Mistress, aka Missy, played by the brilliant Michelle Gomez, in season eight. Will the Doctor do the same thing when Peter Capaldi calls it quits?

I have made my feelings on this subject quite clear.

So Hands up! Don’t Shoot! 🙂

I know, an openly  Female Lesbian Sontaran and her clone-mate! Now that’s the Ticket! 🙂

So stop Moffat before he regenerates again.

That’s just my opinion. 🙂
